Today more bikefun
So, though it’s raining, we have enough space inside for the bikefun!
There were two well visited workshops today, and many people building bikes in the workspace.
At 4 there will be a Bakfietsrace, including some nice obstacles and barriers that will need very good manouvring skills.
At 7 dinner by Water en Brood, the bio vegan restaurant of the Piratenbar.
Then it’s time for tallbikejousting and other fun tallbikesgames (like koekhappen)
The eveningprogram is filled with great bands and dj’s. Noodweer, rammelfietspunx from Groningen, Over the Top with fast and crazy hardcoremadness from Germany and Afonia will deliver powerviolencefrom Russia.! Afterwards DJ Sil play electropunk with an edge , and DJ Susan, with all sounds from the underground and beyond. Yahoo!

The workspace is all prepared (and WOW, we have shitloads of bikes, wrecks as well as simple repairable pieces, to work with), the sun is shining, and some lovely seitan is being made for the vegan BBQ which will be at 7 today.
At 7.30 you can subscribe for the alleycat – it will be a pretty damn nice one again, we promise 
At 8 o’clock BIKESMUT will have a show, with queer bike erotics…
Tonight two bands will play: Mad Idea [like Poison Idea, from Groningen] and True, croatian metalcrust.
Tomorrow we have a busy schedule, with a ‘wheel spoking’ workshop, arc welding, bakfietsraces, tallbikefun, stands and more enjoyables. Hell yeah, more program, check here.

‘wheelspoking’ workshop outlines
We got a nice workshop description from the person doing the wheelspoking workshop, so we know what to expect!
I’d like to split this in roughly two parts, first a theoretical part about steel, rims, spokes, spokespatterns, and so on (takes, say, one hour if people have questions and stuff), and then a second part where I will make a wheel ‘hands on’ and do some chit-chat about what I’m doing while I do it (can easily take up to an hour too, or longer). Note that there are lots of different opinions and views about making wheels, I don’t pretend to be an authority so I’ll just say what my personal opinion is and show the way that I do it: your preferences may vary. I will also try to bring a couple of basic truing stands, some sets of spokes of commons lengths and some basic tools, but obviously if you’re intending to use this workshop to make your own wheel, it’s probably wise to gather some material beforehand, especially a rim and a hub (preferably with a matching number of holes).

15.00h- start of bikefest! yes, from this moment on you can start working, building, customizing bikes and get to know more fellow bikefreaks..hoorah!

20.00 Bike Smut, erotic bikemovies
21.00 – 1.00 Bands: First Mad Idea, the Poison Idea from Groningen. Then True willl blow you away with their raging crust with a death metal edge and a sauce of ‘tambura’, a croatian instrument you never heard of let alone heard before! check out da craaazy shit! More bands t.b.c. and of course soothing music to make you dace afterwards.
Saturday
10.00h – always start the day with some proper breakfast!
11.00h – Building space opens – YES! you can go berserk agian with those tools and bikes and what not..
Workshops:
12.00 – 14.00 wheelspoking. The fine art of making your own wheel or repairing a broken one.
14.00 Then there will be an arc welding workshop. Heat up that steel my friends….and hmmmm, the smell…
14.30 And of course a workshop about everything you always wanted to know about basic bike maintenance but never dared to ask….
15.00h – Lunch
16.00h – Bakfietsrace . Those bakfietsen aren’t as easy to manouvre around as you might think. The race where every self-respecting squatter/food-not bombs or otherwise frequent user of bakfietsen can prove their skills..As all the games, there will be points for original outfits as well – keep that in mind if you want to form a team!
19.00h – Dinner. Vegan, of course…!
20.00h - Tallbike jousting/ skills
21.00h -3.00h Bands/ DJ’s: feestje again!
bands: Over the Top. Last years Short! managed to create a cycle-pit, which was totallytotallytotally awesome! Rumours are that Over the Top is even more, well…over the top and this show will be craaaazy for sure! Check their page.

Sunday
11.00h – breakfast oh lala- fat and carbohydrates to beat that hangover….
15.00h – Start Critical Mass! Take over the streets en masse with bikes – yes we know, there ARE already lots of bikes on the streets in Holland already -but still, also too many cars , causing polution, accidents and annoyance!
19.00h - Dinner
20.00h – Bikewars Finally – time for the final battle! Hopefully more people will have the guts to join this time for a true bike mayhem…WHOAAAAAHAHA.
22.00 Bands: The Autonomads from UK play Anarchoskadubpunkyfolkyreggae. Polikarpa y sus viciosas is pissed of grrrlpunx from Colombia.
Bakfietsraces
Is more than just a ‘race’ with these nice bakfietsen – to overcome all the obstacles on the way one needs some serious bakfietsskills.
Quite spectacular last year – who will go home with that much wanted Bakfietsrace Trophee this summer…?
tallbike fun
No bikefest would be complete without a healthy dose of tallbike fun. Tallbike jousting for sure. And the possibility to make your own at the workspace. Yes, get up there and live high!
Workshops
There will be several workshops during the fest. For now, we have a welding workshop and ‘basic bicycle-maintenance’.
